Our PTFA

Like most schools we have a Parent Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA), which is an organisation of parents and staff. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school. While the PTFAs are best known for their fundraising work, they also promote active association and social links between parents,/caregivers, the school, the Board of Trustees and the parish, as well as supporting the special character of the school.

Funds raised by the PTA are intended to provide ‘extras’ that are not already provided by the school's main income – often  these are 'fun things' that make learning more interesting and exciting. Examples provided to St Joseph's School include the sun shade, playgrounds, computers, readers and sound systems.

The PTFA meet regularly throughout the year.  Meetings and upcoming events are regularly advertised in the school's newsletter and on our school facebook page.
